Victor Hugo était un poete français, un romancier et un dramaturge du mouvement romantique. Il est consideré comme l’un des plus grands et célèbres ecrivains
français. Il etait aussi un intellectuel engagé et un politicien franc.
Ses oeuvres les plus connues etaient les romans acclamés les Misérables (1862) et le Notre Dame de Paris (1831). Il a également produit une abondance d’ceuvres poétiques actives et lyriques artistiques.le theatre ne faisait pas exception. Il etait le dramaturge qui a développé la théorie du drame romantique . Ses jeux Cromwell(1827), Hernani (1830) etc. ont eu un grand impact sur la scène parisienne.
